The Plateau State Government has told the indigenes to be cautious, because due to the imposed State of Emergence in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States, the suspected insurgents might likely flee to Plateau
State to continue their deadly activities.

It can be recalled that on Tuesday, President Jonathan declared a state of emergence in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States following the continuous attack and killings of innocent people by the Boko Haram sect.
During a news conference on Wednesday shortly after an emergency Security Council meeting presided over by the Deputy Governor, Ignatius Longjan, the Commissioner for Information in Plateau, Abraham Yiljap, sounded a note of caution to all citizens of Plateau State, he said: "Some mischief makers were not happy that Plateau State was not included in the Emergency rule," he said.
Therefore he urges all security personals in the state to double in their efforts in restoring permanent peace to Plateau.
"I want announce to you that farmers are at the moment going about their farming activities without fears of being attacked and killed as was the case in the past. So also, cattle breeders are carrying out their grazing activities without fears of possible molestations. We pray that this development continue," he said.
Furthermore, the state also used the opportunity to console those who lost their love ones in the recent Baga and Bama crisis as well as to the families of the police officers and members of the State Secret Service, SSS, who were killed by the Ombatse.
Mr. Yiljap revealed that three Plateau indigenes in the SSS were among the officers killed by the Ombatse.
